Viet Nam was estimated to have a trade surplus of more than US$750
million during the first quarter of 2016, according to the General
Statistics Office (GSO).
Despite the global economic downturn, southern Tien Giang Province has
earned over US$1 billion from exports this year, surpassing its target
and seeing a yearly rise of 17 per cent.
Shrimp exports increased rapidly in the first 10 months of this year,
significantly contributing to the growth of the nation''s total seafood
exports, the Viet Nam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers
(VASEP) said.
